What is the WL-DS300?
The WL-DS300 is an RK3588-based embedded board intended for evaluated commercial-display and digital-signage projects. A successful selection depends on the exact panel, output topology, media workload, CMS, peripheral set, enclosure, software build and operating conditions. The processor name or an “8K” label alone does not prove that a finished system will meet its target workload.
Which projects may evaluate this board?
- single- or multi-display commercial signage;
- interactive directories and information kiosks;
- high-resolution product, menu and control displays;
- networked media players requiring local playback;
- projects that need Android or Linux application integration.
What display information is required?
Provide the panel model, interface, native resolution, refresh rate, orientation, color and timing requirements, touch controller and cable constraints. For multiple displays, define whether outputs must mirror or show independent content and identify every interface used at the same time.
How should 8K and media claims be verified?
Test the exact codec, profile, level, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, container, audio format and playback application. Confirm sustained playback, seeking, playlist transitions, overlays and simultaneous outputs with the intended software image. A decoder capability does not guarantee every application, container or concurrent workload.
What CMS and network checks are necessary?
Verify enrollment, content download, scheduling, offline caching, time synchronization, network recovery, remote status reporting, application restart and software rollback. Record the Ethernet, Wi-Fi or cellular module, antenna arrangement and regulatory identity used in the tested sample.
How should performance, power and thermal behavior be tested?
Run representative content and applications inside the intended enclosure at the expected ambient temperature. Measure input power, component and enclosure temperature, throttling, playback stability and restart behavior. Results must reference the PCB revision, memory and storage configuration, firmware build and test duration.
What should a sample acceptance test include?
- Every required display, touch, audio, camera and I/O interface.
- The final or representative media playlist and application.
- Cold start, scheduled start, watchdog and recovery after power loss.
- Network loss, offline playback, reconnection and resynchronization.
- Remote update and rollback using the proposed CMS or management tool.
- Thermal and power measurements in the target enclosure.
- A signed record of hardware revision, software build and results.
How should compliance evidence be reviewed?
Request documents that match the applicant, exact model or assembly, PCB revision, radio module, power supply, enclosure, standard, issue date and destination market. A general CE, FCC, RoHS or other statement must not be treated as evidence for every configuration or finished product.
What is the decision boundary?
This page is an engineering evaluation source, not a blanket certification, guaranteed throughput, fixed price or delivery commitment. Final suitability must be established by the approved configuration, representative sample, controlled documents and written acceptance criteria.
Review manufacturing quality checkpoints, check published documents, read the engineering review policy, or send the project requirements.
